• Design and implement security and privacy-focused features in large-scale web applications
• Build defenses against abuse, bots, and malicious activity
• Conduct security and privacy reviews of systems and features
• Support incident response efforts related to application security

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript or willingness to learn
• Experience in modern web application development (backend and frontend)
• Understanding of secure design principles and threat modeling

• Experience with anti-abuse systems
• Experience with MediaWiki or open-source contributions
• Experience with large-scale backend systems
