Requirements

  • MS or PhD in engineering, mathematics, computer science or related discipline.
  • Experience in optimization-based motion planning and control (e.g., Model Predictive Control).
  • Experience in control, estimation, modeling, and analysis of multi-DOF electromechanical systems.
  • Practical experience with motor servo control architectures and tuning.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming.

Responsibilities

  • Develop optimization-based motion planning and control algorithms for an overactuated autonomous system down to motor torque control.
  • Utilize expertise in complex high degree-of-freedom electromechanical systems.
  • Bridge mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering domains.
  • Interface with perception, intelligence, simulation, and platform software systems for functional architecture design.
  • Achieve exceptional motion quality through continuous test, measurement, analysis, and improvement.
