Description

You will serve patients by identifying the best method for retrieving blood, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures. You will also act as an operations manager for the patient service center, overseeing the phlebotomy program and managing equipment, vendors, and team training.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience
• 5+ years high-level customer care experience
• Managing/supervising phlebotomy operations and teams experience preferred
• BS/BA degree preferred; High School Diploma required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred where required by state

Responsibilities

• Verify test requisitions and patient identification
• Obtain blood specimens via venipunctures and finger sticks
• Maintain specimen integrity and quality control logs
• Manage phlebotomy equipment and vendor relationships
• Train and supervise phlebotomists, manage scheduling and escalations
