Description

You will spearhead state-of-the-art production processes for printed circuit boards (PCBs), developing and implementing equipment, facilities, tooling, and manufacturing processes to scale production to high volumes. You will own projects from conception through optimization, designing advanced manufacturing processes and automation while interacting with senior leadership during critical design phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
• 1+ years experience with fluids, mechanical, electromechanical design, and/or analysis
• Willingness to travel to other SpaceX sites or vendors
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee per ITAR

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities for PCB production
• Analyze production processes and machinery from a first principles, physics-based approach
• Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish stable processes and improve yields
• Develop project plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analysis for new processes or machines
• Own machine activation and testing with a small team of engineers and technicians
