Description

As a Software Engineer on Fee Insights at Stripe, you will build billing-related experiences and agentic systems that help merchants understand their fees through natural language explanations and self-serve tooling. You'll work across the full stack to create performant data aggregations and transparent pricing experiences that are critical to merchant trust.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong coding skills in any programming language
• Ability to lead large-scale initiatives solving critical business challenges
• Track record of delivering high-quality software using industry best practices
• Ability to balance business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability

Responsibilities

• Build fee explainability experiences for merchants and internal teams
• Develop agentic systems with strong accuracy guarantees and evaluation frameworks
• Create performant data aggregations for complex pricing scenarios
• Work across backend services, frontend experiences, data pipelines, and AI agents
• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, finance, accounting, and sales teams
