Description

As a Substitute Teacher at Guidepost Montessori, you'll step into mixed-age classrooms (children ages 0–6) to support daily routines, maintain a calm and engaging environment, and collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care. This on-call role offers flexible hours and training, with potential to transition to a full-time Assistant Teacher position.

Requirements

Negative TB test within the last 12 months
Valid state background check
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor
Passion for working with young children

Responsibilities

Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency
Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups
Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children
Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction
