Description

You will audit a live production system, identify and prioritize architectural improvements to scale performance and reliability, and stay hands-on across the full stack—from frontend to infrastructure. You'll partner with product and data science, delegate work to contractors, and mentor engineers while driving long-term platform stability.

Requirements

• Deeply hands-on full stack engineer with experience in technical audits and system remediation in startups/high-growth
• Highly fluent in Python and AWS cloud-native architectures
• Strong judgment on tactical fixes vs architectural rebuilds
• Thrives in ambiguity and moves fast without perfect documentation
• Experience directing contractors and translating broad problems into scoped tasks

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical audit of platform including frontend, backend, infrastructure, and workflows
• Assess stack to identify highest-impact opportunities for scalability, reliability, and latency improvements
• Create a pragmatic execution roadmap sequencing architecture, workflow, and product-critical initiatives
• Remain hands-on in coding, refactoring, and optimization across all layers
• Work with product and data science to translate requirements into production systems
