Description

Perform inspection, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic (PV) systems at utility-scale solar farms. This 100% travel role involves diagnosing electrical issues, testing, and repairing DC and AC components, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.

Requirements

• Active Journeyman Electrician License
• 3+ years utility-scale solar experience on megawatt-scale PV systems
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards
• Experience with multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of PV systems
• Perform electrical testing including LOTO, megger testing, and IR thermography
• Support troubleshooting of solar system faults at string and system level
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar power plant equipment
• Complete documentation including work orders, service reports, and time logs
