Description

You will own factory design and material flow for Starship components, conducting job walks, negotiating with vendors, and improving production processes to enable manufacturing and testing of critical flow control devices and mechanisms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing (professional or internship)
• Experience with process engineering including project management and capacity modeling
• Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning (MRP/ERP systems)
• Ability to stand for long durations and work directly with hardware

Responsibilities

• Design factory and production area layouts with clear visual indicators and linear flow
• Conduct job walks with vendors, negotiate prices, and hold vendors to schedule
• Host process walks to identify and implement process simplifications
• Execute complex projects with minimal time and expense
• Develop system and process improvements between production teams
