Description

You will own UX across EMR and AI clinical workflows, establish scalable design systems and tooling, lead user insight and experience strategy, and manage a small design team. This role combines hands-on design with strategic leadership in a fast-paced, AI-native healthcare startup.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, including meaningful time in startup or growth-stage environments
• 3+ years managing designers
• Experience building or evolving a design system
• Experience designing complex, workflow-heavy products
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels
• Motivated by ownership and impact
• Deeply user-focused
• Curious about emerging design tooling and AI-assisted workflows
• Genuine interest in improving healthcare is essential

Responsibilities

• Own UX Across EMR and AI-powered clinical workflows
• Translate complex clinical, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear, efficient interfaces
• Design AI-assisted experiences that are transparent, trustworthy, and usable in real-world care settings
• Use rapid prototyping and modern tooling to shorten the cycle between concept, validation, and engineering implementation
• Maintain design quality through structured reviews and close implementation partnership with Engineering
• Build and maintain a durable design system that supports velocity and coherence across EMR and AI products
• Introduce tooling and automation that reduce friction between design and engineering
• Experiment with AI-assisted design workflows
• Lead design-focused user research initiatives across clinicians, care teams, and patients
• Define and track UX-focused success metrics
• Manage and mentor the Product Designer and part-time Graphic Designer
