You'll lead search discovery across The Economist's web and app products, owning how users find and explore journalism. You'll drive measurable improvements to engagement and subscriber value. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery for a prestigious editorial brand.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Own the vision and roadmap for Discovery and Personalisation across web and app.
  • Lead evolution of keyword and semantic search, including relevance and ranking.
  • Define signals and models for browse-led personalisation systems.
  • Create generative AI features like Q&A and content summarisation.

πŸ“‹ Requirements

  • 5+ years product management experience with search or personalisation systems.
  • Hands-on experience defining and evaluating generative AI features.
  • Proven track record shipping complex features in subscription products.
  • Experience working with data science on ML-driven systems and experimentation.
