Description

You will be responsible for activation and operations of critical test facilities for the Archimedes rocket engine and Neutron launch vehicle. This includes developing test procedures, configuring and operating the engine hot fire facility, and collaborating with engine and vehicle design teams to prepare and perform tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering
• 2+ years experience operating rocket engine test stands or launch complexes for Engineer II
• 5+ years experience operating rocket engine test stands or launch complexes for Senior Engineer I
• Broad general engineering discipline with ability to design systems and develop automation tools
• Experience operating facilities for liquid oxygen and liquid methane

Responsibilities

• Perform facility test operations on console maintaining situational awareness and constant communication
• Lead and be part of a team of technicians and engineers operating the test facility
• Conduct test operations safely ensuring data quality and integrity
• Perform troubleshooting to resolve facility and test operations issues
• Collaborate with GSE teams to complete design, build, installation and checkout of facility systems
