Description

You will develop, design, build, and execute large system-level static and dynamic structural tests for the Starship program. This multidisciplinary role involves working with vehicle engineers, designing mechanical and fluid systems, troubleshooting data acquisition systems, and operating test stands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering or related field
• 1+ years experience with testing, mechanical or data acquisition and control system design (internships count)
• Experience working with hazardous systems (high pressure, high energy, hazardous gases) preferred
• Ability to work at heights up to 500ft, in confined spaces, and operate heavy equipment
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute static and dynamic system-level structural tests from conception through test execution
• Design, modify, and build mechanical systems including lugs, brackets, and large structural weldments
• Design, modify, build, and troubleshoot fluid systems (high-pressure gases, cryogenic propellants, hydraulics)
• Design, modify, build, and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems (NI-based, strain gages, thermocouples)
• Provide direction to technicians for test article integration and hardware assembly
