Description

You will architect and operationalize the enterprise data governance framework at CarGurus, deploying tools for data quality, metadata management, and data lineage. You'll collaborate with engineers and business teams to ensure high data integrity and compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years experience in data governance or related field
• Proficiency in Python or similar language
• Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Monte Carlo, Metaplane) and governance tools (e.g., Alation, Atlan)
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Looker, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data integration tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust data governance framework
• Build tools and APIs to automate data quality monitoring and reporting
• Promote data stewardship and accountability for data quality
• Automate metadata management and maintain data lineage models
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and governance policies
