You'll own technical direction across backend services and shared platform capabilities at Kargo, a leader in ad tech. Your work will translate ambiguous business needs into durable architecture and reliable execution. This role stands out for its hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite in NYC.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define service boundaries and interfaces across multiple systems
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives from discovery to production
• Identify and address structural weaknesses in backend services
• Provide guidance and foster growth in senior engineers

📋 Requirements

• Deep proficiency in Go or comparable compiled language
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS in production
• Strong systems design fundamentals including APIs and distributed systems
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives

• Familiarity with RTB, SSP, or auction systems
• Experience building shared internal platforms adopted across multiple teams
