💼 About This Role

You'll join the Payments team to build a unified payment processing platform for a leading restaurant technology company. You'll guide technical design, lead cross-team collaboration, and deliver scalable services that process millions of dollars daily. This role offers the chance to shape a build-once strategy for payment methods across channels.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan, design, build, and deliver features for payments products
• Develop and implement automated test suites for quality assurance
• Collaborate with PM and UX on feature definition and design
• Lead and mentor engineers in design and code reviews

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in backend services design and implementation
• Ability to step into a technical leadership role guiding junior engineers
• Proven ability to design and develop scalable and secure APIs
• Applied knowledge of API lifecycle management best practices
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization

✨ Nice to Have

• Proficiency with DynamoDB or PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java willing to learn Kotlin
• Experience with payments APIs or PCI-DSS compliance
