You will collaborate with Gearbox Studios and internal teams to shape content, live service, and monetization plans for AAA games, balancing player value with commercial goals. Your role involves defining product strategy, analyzing player behavior, and guiding product roadmaps from concept to post-launch.

Requirements

  • Data-informed decision maker able to balance business priorities, player perspective, resources, and developer needs.
  • Experience working with Consumer Insights, User Experience Research, Data Science and other insights functions.
  • Understand market opportunities, player motivational and persona frameworks, and apply to influence game direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Alignment-building bias with preference for collaboration and education.
  • Product Management experience in AAA games with emphasis on looter shooters, action-adventure, FPS, co-op.
  • Excel in ambiguous environments and drive clarity.
  • Passion for games and skill in deconstructing success.
  • Bonus: Strong critical thinking, strategy, problem-solving, data-informed decision-making.
  • Bonus: Expertise in immersive sims, narrative, RPG, action-adventure.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development and publishing teams to define product priorities for multiple projects.
  • Develop expertise in the games in your portfolio and competition; lead critical initiatives and share insights.
  • Evaluate product market fit and impact product direction throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide data-backed product recommendations to studios, analyzing player behavior and guiding priorities.
  • Define telemetry needs, critical metrics, and reporting to develop insights into player behaviors.
  • Work with Commercial Growth teams to build strategies for pricing, promotions, SKUs, and content.
  • Lead and prioritize the work of other Product Managers and Data Analysts.
  • Deliver research on competitive landscape, trends, and competitor products.
  • Share insights and lessons learned with other studio publishing teams.
  • Advocate for the player perspective in developing fair engagement and monetization models.
