💼 About This Role

You'll conduct research on U.S. foreign policy and military strategy in the Middle East and South Asia, contributing to policy analysis, rapid-response pieces, and op-eds. You'll support senior staff and track daily news cycles. This internship offers hands-on experience at a Washington, D.C. public policy think tank.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Conduct research on U.S. foreign policy and military strategy in the Middle East and South Asia.
  • Contribute to policy research, rapid-response analysis, and op-eds.
  • Monitor daily and weekly news cycles for developments relevant to ongoing research.
  • Support congressional outreach, communications, and tracking political developments.

📋 Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in the Greater Middle East and related geopolitical issues.
  • Familiarity with U.S. foreign policy and ongoing policy debates in the United States.
  • Understanding of realism as a theory of international relations and military restraint.
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in political science, international relations, or related field.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Fluency in Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Pashto, or Urdu.
  • Background in economics or statistics.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization.
