💼 About This Role
You'll conduct research on U.S. foreign policy and military strategy in the Middle East and South Asia, contributing to policy analysis, rapid-response pieces, and op-eds. You'll support senior staff and track daily news cycles. This internship offers hands-on experience at a Washington, D.C. public policy think tank.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Conduct research on U.S. foreign policy and military strategy in the Middle East and South Asia.
- Contribute to policy research, rapid-response analysis, and op-eds.
- Monitor daily and weekly news cycles for developments relevant to ongoing research.
- Support congressional outreach, communications, and tracking political developments.
📋 Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in the Greater Middle East and related geopolitical issues.
- Familiarity with U.S. foreign policy and ongoing policy debates in the United States.
- Understanding of realism as a theory of international relations and military restraint.
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in political science, international relations, or related field.
✨ Nice to Have
- Fluency in Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Pashto, or Urdu.
- Background in economics or statistics.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization.
