Description
In this role, you will target and close new business with innovative companies in the UK, driving opportunities through the entire sales cycle from pipeline generation to closure. You'll leverage cross-functional teams and employ a value-oriented sales methodology, focusing on use cases like customer data and marketing activation. Building long-lasting relationships with customer needs at the center is key.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years experience selling enterprise solutions, with demonstrated success in software sales within database ecosystem or adjacent technologies
- Experience leading large, complex sales cycles within C-Level at Fortune 500 companies, specifically in financial services
- Consultative, value-based approach to selling software for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployments
- Ability to assess customer needs and build trusted relationships at all levels
- Track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
Responsibilities
- Close new logos and expand existing business within assigned territory, exceeding sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, and closing
- Leverage cross-functional teams (Sales Development, Legal, Engineering, Security, Marketing, Product) to navigate complex sales cycles
- Maintain specific relationship maps for territory, including existing and aspirational contacts
- Lead compelling presentations of CockroachDB's product and vision to diverse audiences from C-level to individual contributors
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales performance by actively managing pipeline
