You will architect the worldbuilding pipeline for an MMO, defining core systems that enable environment artists and designers to craft immersive spaces at scale. You'll partner with creative leads and engineering to design tools for terrain, biomes, and modular content, ensuring high visual fidelity and efficient content creation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years as a Technical Artist with emphasis on worldbuilding or environment art systems
  • Expert-level knowledge of Houdini or equivalent content tools
  • Mastery of Unreal Engine 5's worldbuilding stack
  • Advanced scripting in Python, Blueprint, and similar languages
  • Experience collaborating across departments in high-complexity game environment

Responsibilities

  • Design and own foundational systems for world editing and asset integration
  • Build core components of world editing toolset including in-editor tooling
  • Translate high-level art direction into executable workflows and reusable toolchains
  • Champion content systems (e.g., Houdini or in-engine PCG) for high-volume content
  • Guide and mentor other technical artists
