You'll lead a full-stack team owning the platform and infrastructure powering every notification Discord sends. You'll set technical direction, partner with product teams, and drive retention through experimentation and data-driven decisions while operating systems that fan out to hundreds of millions of users.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead a team of full-stack engineers building the notifications platform
• Set technical direction for notifications infrastructure and ensure scalability
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing on roadmap
• Use experimentation and metrics to improve notification engagement and retention

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with backend/infrastructure systems
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
• Experience owning production systems built on Elixir, Python, pubsub pipelines, and Kubernetes
• Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and data scientists

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience leading teams owning shared platforms consumed by other teams
• Experience shipping push notifications or re-engagement systems at consumer scale
• Full-stack experience across frontend and backend development
