Description

As a night shift Controls Technician at OBE, you'll keep production equipment running safely by troubleshooting and repairing electrical and industrial control systems, including PLCs, drives, and sensors. You'll respond to emergencies, follow safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED; technical training preferred
• Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, PLC controls, and Rockwell Studio 5000
• Ability to troubleshoot independently under pressure and work night/on-call shifts
• Preferred: Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, and Ethernet/IP

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and PLC-controlled equipment during night shift
• Diagnose issues with 480VAC/120VAC/24VDC, PLCs, drives, sensors, and control panels
• Use Studio 5000 for logic and fault analysis
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and follow electrical safety protocols
• Communicate status updates and document all work performed
