Description

You will lead the technical strategy for backend platforms powering incentives and growth initiatives at Affirm, collaborating with product and analytics teams to shape scalable systems. You will define platform abstractions and APIs, ensure operational excellence, and foster a culture of quality and ownership.

Requirements

• 8+ years designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin
• Track record of developing highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes
• Experience building shared backend platforms for Rewards, Loyalty, Incentives, or Experimentation
• Led complex technical initiatives requiring cross-team alignment and long-term architectural thinking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration
