Description

You will lead the review and design of PV and ESS projects, providing technical expertise in interconnection, construction, and commissioning of distributed energy resources. Collaborate with the Director of Electrical Engineering on department initiatives and process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience with electrical infrastructure up to 345kV
• In-depth knowledge of protective relaying and controls
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and NESC
• Experience with ETAP and AmpCalc modeling
• Experience in PV and ESS projects design

Responsibilities

• Specify and review equipment shop drawings for switchgear, transformers, reclosers, etc.
• Perform advanced electrical modeling in ETAP and AmpCalc for protection coordination, arc-flash, and grounding analysis
• Manage scope of work for 3rd party electrical engineers including studies and substation design
• Provide technical support across project lifecycle including development, permitting, construction, and asset management
• Train and mentor junior engineering personnel
