💼 About This Role

You'll lead the independent credit review function for a $5-10 billion commercial loan portfolio, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer with Board-level exposure. Your core impact will be ensuring objective, risk-focused assessments of credit quality and championing AI automation to enhance coverage and efficiency.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and execute annual risk-based credit review plans for the commercial portfolio.
• Lead loan-level file reviews to assess underwriting, collateral, and risk ratings.
• Validate accuracy of risk ratings and recommend enhancements to the rating framework.
• Champion AI adoption for credit review, piloting use cases like automated document intake.
• Present findings and emerging risks to the Board Risk Committee and regulators.

📋 Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive commercial banking experience.
• 7+ years in credit review, credit risk, or commercial underwriting.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience participating in regulatory examinations of commercial credit functions.
