Description

You will join the Viaduct team, which owns a unified GraphQL data access layer handling over 70% of Airbnb's API traffic. You will help evolve the Viaduct platform, contributing to the best developer experience for hundreds of engineers and the open source community.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a relevant role, ideally owning a developer platform
• Proficiency and interest working cross-team with both product and infrastructure engineers
• Experience operating critical online backend services
• Comfort shipping high visibility, complex coding projects
• Strong preference: expertise with GraphQL, Kotlin, AI-enabled development flows

Responsibilities

• Code in a high-impact, deep-complexity domain
• Share knowledge and learn from teammates through collaboration and pairing
• Navigate ambiguity and refine abstract requirements into concrete technical roadmaps
• Partner with Viaduct tenant teams to support their mission
• Contribute to the planning process for the Viaduct platform strategy and roadmap
• Share on-call responsibilities and prioritize long-term reliability fixes
