💼 About This Role
You'll lead the accounting and financial control function for a growing retail fintech in Mexico, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with local regulations. You'll oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. This role offers the chance to shape financial strategy and drive process automation in a tech-driven environment.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements under Mexican GAAP.
- Coordinate regulatory report submissions to CNBV, SAT, Banxico.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems over financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team.
📋 Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Professional certification: CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or CPC.
- Deep knowledge of Mexican GAAP and CNBV regulations.

- Prior experience in banking sector or Big4 in Mexico.
- Experience with IFRS, SOFIPO/SOFOM regulatory environments.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
