💼 About This Role

You'll be the in-house authority on multifamily accounting, ensuring accounting integrity across features that touch resident ledgers and workflows. You'll advise product teams, translate workflows into requirements, and lead testing and validation. This role offers a chance to write the playbook at a fast-growing, well-funded startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Advise on core accounting scenarios like rent and deposits
• Translate workflows into clear requirements and acceptance tests
• Review prorations, allocations, and charge/credit logic
• Lead UAT with client accountants and reconcile outputs

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in multifamily property accounting or controllership
• Deep knowledge of GL, sub-ledgers, resident ledgers, and US GAAP
• CPA or similar credentials
• Willingness to work in person 4-5 days a week

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS environment
• Familiarity with multifamily systems and data handoffs
• Familiarity with AI or automation in accounting
