Description

You will execute enzyme production fermentations at 2L and 10L scales, with opportunities to assist at pilot scale up to 500L. This role involves building tanks, running fermentations, sampling and analysis, cell banking, inventory management, and procurement. You will support the team in advancing sustainable amino acid manufacturing for pharmaceutical applications.

Requirements

• BS with 1-4 years or MS with 0-1 years industry experience in Bioengineering, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on laboratory experience in microbiology or bioprocessing
• Fundamental understanding of aseptic technique and microbial fermentation
• Experience with bench-scale bioreactor assembly and operation
• Strong organizational skills for tracking samples, inventory, and data

Responsibilities

• Support bench-scale fermentation operations including tank assembly and run execution
• Perform sampling and analysis to optimize fermentation processes
• Maintain high-quality cell banks
• Manage inventory of cell pellets, banks, consumables, and raw materials
• Order fermentation raw materials and supplies
