Description

You will develop and deliver a comprehensive training program for gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) to support Starship production. You will teach theory and hands-on skills, assess student performance, and ensure welders meet SpaceX quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in welding, welding technology, or engineering and 6+ years professional welding experience; or associate degree and 8+ years; or high school and 10+ years
• 2+ years experience teaching or training in a classroom or industrial setting
• American Welding Society Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credential required
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, or run
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirement)

Responsibilities

• Teach TIG/GTAW welding techniques, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance
• Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise students during practical lab work
• Assess and evaluate student performance through practical tests, projects, and written exams
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure laboratory environment is safe and organized
