Description

You will join the Remote Development team at JetBrains to ensure the highest quality of developer tools used by millions. You'll design and implement automated tests, debug failures, and improve automation processes across multiple platforms and environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in test automation
• Solid programming skills in Kotlin or Java, good understanding of JVM
• Experience with test frameworks: JUnit or TestNG
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (TeamCity or similar); version control (Git)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests (UI, E2E, functional, integration) across multiple platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS, Docker, WSL)
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, distinguishing product issues from infrastructure issues
• Optimize test execution time and reliability; improve test automation stability
• Report bugs in YouTrack and verify fixes and backports; participate in release quality assessments
• Define and track quality metrics; identify gaps in test coverage and propose solutions
