Description

As a Lead Solar Field Service Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain utility-scale solar farms while leading a crew of 4+ technicians. Your role is hands-on, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on megawatt-scale PV sites.

Requirements

• 4-5+ years utility-scale solar experience (ground-mount systems)
• Experience leading crews of 4+ or acting as lead tech on-site
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems, power electronics)
• Knowledge of OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards
• Ability to travel 100% and work outdoors in all weather

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits
• Perform LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans
• Lead and direct 4+ field technicians on active solar farm sites
• Assign work, track progress, and keep jobs on schedule
• Enforce safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site
