💼 About This Role

You'll design and maintain core APIs for a loyalty and payments platform that helps restaurants reward their guests. You'll collaborate with product, design, and engineering to scale the platform and drive technical vision. You'll also mentor peers and contribute to a high-ownership engineering culture.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain core backend APIs
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to deliver features
• Contribute to system architecture and implement scalable solutions
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying backend APIs
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin or another statically typed JVM language
• Deep experience with RESTful APIs using domain-driven design
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring framework and Hibernate
• Familiarity with U.S. payments ecosystem
• Exposure to DevOps practices including AWS and Terraform
