💼 About This Role

You'll facilitate donation discussions with donor families in a hospital setting, working with a nonprofit organ procurement organization. You'll ensure legal authorization for organ and tissue donation while providing compassionate support during grief and crisis.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Initiate donation discussions and obtain legal authorization per UAGA guidelines
• Respond to hospital referrals and assess family needs on site
• Communicate with donor families, hospital staff, and physicians
• Complete Uniform Donor Risk Assessment Interview and documentation

📋 Requirements

• Degree in biological sciences, social sciences, counseling, or allied health field
• 1 year equivalent OPO experience or related degree
• Knowledge of medical and legal principles of authorization
• Ability to handle highly stressful situations calmly

• 2+ years experience in family counseling, bereavement, or crisis intervention
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
