💼 About This Role

You'll lead the backend architecture for Observe by Snowflake's Logs product, an AI-powered observability platform that ingests hundreds of terabytes of telemetry daily. Your work will directly impact how engineering teams detect and resolve production issues 10x faster. You'll design APIs and workflows that serve both UI users and AI coding agents, shaping a new era of agentic enterprise.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead backend architecture and delivery of the Logs product area.
• Drive technical direction for log ingestion, storage, and querying pipelines.
• Design APIs and workflows for human and AI agent use.
• Partner with PMs, Frontend, and Design on product roadmap.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years building high-scale backend systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or comparable systems language.
• Deep experience designing and operating distributed systems.
• Proven track record leading end-to-end feature delivery with cross-functional teams.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building observability or log management systems (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Elastic).
• Experience with query DSLs, CEL, or expression evaluation frameworks.
• Prior tech lead or staff engineer experience on a product-focused team.
