Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at Anduril, you will own the physical design of unmanned aircraft and hardware systems, from concept through production. You'll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost, while supporting prototyping, testing, and customer demonstrations.

Requirements

• Minimum B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with 3D Design (NX desired) and Structural Analysis fundamentals
• Experience with common hand tools and machine shop tools (lathe, mill)
• US Person status required for export-controlled data access

Responsibilities

• Own complex mechanical designs for drone products from concept to full rate production
• Gather requirements and work through trade studies to determine best solution
• Perform structural analysis to develop, assess, and optimize designs
• Build prototypes, define and execute hardware test plans, iterate on designs
• Lead design reviews and obtain cross-disciplinary buy-in
