You'll design and deploy ML models to automate Waymo's HD map creation, unlocking scale for the autonomous driving system. You'll own the full model lifecycle from data to productionization. This role collaborates with top ML teams like Perception and AI Foundations, applying cutting-edge Vision-Language Models and Generative AI to pioneering mapping solutions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, train, and deploy ML models for HD map automation.
• Apply Vision-Language Models and Generative AI to mapping.
• Own the complete model development lifecycle from data to productionization.
• Collaborate with Perception and AI Foundations teams.

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years hands-on ML experience focusing on computer vision or deep learning
• Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Experience owning problems end-to-end across the systems stack.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

✨ Nice to Have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• Familiarity with foundation models and adaptation techniques like few-shot learning.
• Publications in top ML/CV conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR.
