💼 About This Role

You'll lead the Model Library team at Baseten, a high-ownership team focused on helping developers discover and select models. You'll guide the team from product thinking to production execution, shaping model discovery and evaluation frameworks. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge AI startups.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers with hiring and mentorship.
• Own the Model Library product area end-to-end.
• Partner with product, ML, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain high technical bar through design and code reviews.

📋 Requirements

• Experience managing engineers building developer-facing products (APIs, SDKs, tooling).
• Product intuition and technical judgment for tradeoffs.
• Technically hands-on to review designs and earn trust.
• Strong written communication and cross-functional skills.

• Background as IC in developer tooling, APIs, or ML infrastructure.
• Experience with model evaluation or benchmarking frameworks.
• Familiarity with inference platforms or LLM runtimes.
