Description

You will design and build AI-powered automations for Opendoor's Finance operations, turning complex accounting problems into efficient workflows using SQL, Python, and agentic AI. You'll collaborate with finance and engineering teams to scale processes while ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience building automation, operational workflows, or data systems
• Familiarity with LLM deployment, context engineering, SQL or Python
• Systems thinking: understand data flows, identify dependencies and failure modes
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• High agency with a tinkering mindset; comfortable with AI tools and APIs

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered automation for accounting workflows (journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis)
• Maintain clean, auditable data with dashboards and controls for compliance
• Partner with SOX team and auditors to ensure automated processes meet standards
• Build AI literacy across Finance through runbooks and training
• Turn complex Finance problems into clear system designs and implementation plans
