Description

You will design, analyze, and build large steel and concrete structures to apply flight-like loads to Starship test articles. This role involves contributing technical expertise, collaborating with vehicle and test engineers, and supporting fabrication on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2+ years experience in composite steel and concrete structural systems for large-scale applications
• Experience with nonlinear structural analysis for steel and concrete
• Knowledge of AISC, ACI 318, ASCE 7, and IBC codes
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, ANSYS, or similar analysis software

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and fabricate large composite steel and concrete structures
• Work with vehicle and test engineers to develop test structures from conception
• Consider boundary conditions, load paths, and stiffness in design
• Plan fabrication and provide on-site fabrication support
