💼 About This Role

You'll lead a senior team of engineers managing Brex's AWS ecosystem, driving a company-level Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery initiative with multi-region failover. You'll balance people leadership with deep technical involvement, improving operational hygiene and cross-functional coordination across the engineering organization.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage and support a senior team of 6 ICs fostering ownership and technical excellence.
• Oversee execution of multi-year BCDR initiative ensuring multi-region failover readiness.
• Maintain and scale core cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes, RDS, and networking.
• Partner with product teams to drive adoption of new infrastructure capabilities.
• Improve team hygiene via best practices for work tracking, documentation, and incident response.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years directly managing software or infrastructure engineering teams.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgres.
• Proven ability to design complex infrastructure projects like multi-region deployments.
• 5+ years in software or systems engineering.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Background in managing cloud infrastructure cost optimization.
• Experience with Go, Kotlin, Python, or Elixir.
