💼 About This Role

You'll own the operating P&L for Baseten's compute infrastructure, partnering with Infra and Inference Engineering teams to keep footprint on budget and drive unit cost down. You'll build forecasts, run budget-vs-actual analysis, and serve as the finance counterpart to cloud and GPU partners.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own Strategic Finance for all live compute spend.
• Build and maintain per-region and per-partner cost forecasts.
• Run budget-vs-actual on capacity commitments and infrastructure programs.
• Lead financial analysis for capacity-mix decisions and multi-region buildouts.

📋 Requirements

• 7-10+ years of investment banking experience in Infrastructure
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Comfort partnering with deeply technical operating teams (infra engineering, capacity, SRE)
• Proven track record of managing multiple work streams under tight timelines

• Direct experience with cloud commitment economics (CUDs, reserved capacity)
• Experience managing finance cadence with a third-party cloud or colocation provider
• Background in AI, ML, or high-performance computing infrastructure
