💼 About This Role

You'll support the Model Risk Management program, focusing on validating Fraud and Gen AI models at Toast. You'll collaborate with Data Science and engineering teams to assess risks across product lines. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge AI governance in a dynamic fintech environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Support implementation of the 2LOD Model Risk Management program for high-risk models.
• Maintain and enhance the MRM framework, policies, and validation standards.
• Perform independent model validation reviews, including conceptual soundness and performance metrics.
• Produce validation reports and track issue remediation plans through closure.

📋 Requirements

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in Model Risk Management or model validation within fintech/banking.
• Strong understanding of machine learning methodologies and validation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with fraud detection models and concepts like class imbalance handling.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Generative AI and LLM-based systems (e.g., RAG, prompt engineering).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with scikit-learn, XGBoost, or TensorFlow.
