💼 About This Role

You'll provide functional safety systems engineering for autonomous trucks, collaborating with cross-functional teams on safety case development. Your core impact is deriving safety requirements and conducting hazard analyses for compute platform components. This role offers the chance to work on L4 autonomous driving applications with an industry leader.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead functional safety design discussions across hardware, software, validation, and operations.
• Derive safety requirements and ensure system architectures meet safety concepts.
• Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA) and safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, DFA).
• Collaborate with suppliers to progress safety analysis and deliverables.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems/Electrical/Software/Computer Engineering or related field with 6+ years experience, or Master's with 3+ years.
• Strong understanding of ISO 26262 and ISO 21448.
• Familiarity with functional safety analysis processes (HAZOP, FMEA, STPA, FTA).
• Broad understanding of engineering fundamentals in software, networking, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Experience with Autonomous Vehicles or ADAS safety.
• Expertise with various sensor modalities (LiDAR, camera, radar).
• Experience with motion control systems.
