Description
You will lead a team developing core trajectory planning algorithms via numerical optimization for autonomous vehicles, driving commercial launch readiness and shaping motion planning systems. You will mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure real-time performance and safety for deployment.
Requirements
- 2+ years managing high-performing development teams
- Experience delivering production-quality algorithms in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or aerospace
- Deep expertise in numerical optimization and optimal control (Model Predictive Control, convex optimization)
- Proficiency in modern C++ development for real-time, safety-critical systems
- Master's or PhD in Robotics, CS, or related field
Responsibilities
- Lead trajectory planning team: define technical vision, execution strategy, and organizational role
- Drive on-road performance improvements (safety, comfort, assertiveness) using metrics-driven framework
- Manage computational efficiency and real-time performance of trajectory generation algorithms
- Lead triage and root-cause analysis of fleet incidents, translating edge cases into algorithmic refinements
- Coordinate with peer leads on architectural direction, strategic investments, and technical debt reduction
