You will lead a team developing core trajectory planning algorithms via numerical optimization for autonomous vehicles, driving commercial launch readiness and shaping motion planning systems. You will mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure real-time performance and safety for deployment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years managing high-performing development teams
  • Experience delivering production-quality algorithms in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or aerospace
  • Deep expertise in numerical optimization and optimal control (Model Predictive Control, convex optimization)
  • Proficiency in modern C++ development for real-time, safety-critical systems
  • Master's or PhD in Robotics, CS, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead trajectory planning team: define technical vision, execution strategy, and organizational role
  • Drive on-road performance improvements (safety, comfort, assertiveness) using metrics-driven framework
  • Manage computational efficiency and real-time performance of trajectory generation algorithms
  • Lead triage and root-cause analysis of fleet incidents, translating edge cases into algorithmic refinements
  • Coordinate with peer leads on architectural direction, strategic investments, and technical debt reduction
