Description

In this role, you will ensure Motional's PLM/PDM systems and engineering toolchains operate smoothly, acting as the go-to expert for resolving issues related to CAD tools and data management. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and operations teams to support day-to-day development and drive continuous improvement in processes and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5 or SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with CAD data management systems and PLM tools (PTC Windchill preferred)
• Solid working knowledge of GD&T principles
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure CAD tools, PLM/PDM systems, and engineering applications function properly; investigate and resolve issues
• Develop and maintain documentation standards for Hardware Engineering
• Create and update CAD parts, assemblies, and libraries
• Generate detailed 2D drawings following drafting standards and GD&T best practices
• Manage engineering change orders, BOM updates, and routing
