Description

As a Sourcing Manager on the Starlink Supply Chain team, you will support engineers in sourcing capital equipment and machinery critical to producing the Starlink Satellite Constellation. You'll develop supplier strategies and negotiate to minimize cost and lead time, helping build the factory of the future.

Requirements

• Advanced degree +3 years or bachelor's +5 years or 9+ years in engineering/purchasing/contract negotiation/material planning/operations/supply chain
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment (SMT, RF test, environmental test, etc.)
• Experience managing procurement for complex insourcing projects
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Develop preferred supplier network to minimize cost and lead time for equipment/machinery
• Create sourcing strategies for assigned category to reduce risk and meet cost targets
• Manage sourcing for machinery supporting insourcing efforts
• Perform onsite vendor capability reviews
• Author contract documents with legal department and manage supplier performance
