You'll develop and productize visual inspection solutions using deep learning for Bright Machines' automation platform. You'll own the full pipeline from algorithm development to production deployment, ensuring reliable, high-throughput performance in factory environments. This role offers the chance to drive the inspection product roadmap and adopt cutting-edge ML techniques in industrial settings.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize visual inspection algorithms for defect detection and classification using deep learning
• Optimize model inference for GPU deployment with CUDA and TensorRT
• Collaborate with Mechanical engineers to design illumination setups for inspection accuracy
• Build and maintain data pipelines for model training and evaluation

📋 Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in computer vision or machine learning
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Deep experience with PyTorch for model development and training

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of lighting and optics for machine vision
• Experience with industrial camera systems and standards (GigE Vision, GenICam, CoaXPress)
• C/C++ experience for performance-critical components
