💼 About This Role

You'll be the dedicated Cloud Security Engineer on the growing Foundations team at Virta Health, securing applications and platform to protect sensitive health information. You'll have the autonomy to define strategy, implement best practices, and embed security principles across the organization. This role directly contributes to the trust our members and partners place in us.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Assess security controls in GCP and Kubernetes, drive improvements.
• Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Design and automate security tooling for vulnerability detection and compliance.
• Evolve IAM strategy ensuring least-privilege access and robust auditing.

📋 Requirements

• Experience securing cloud-native applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Understanding of IAM, encryption, and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Hands-on experience in application security including threat modeling and SAST/DAST.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and development in Go/Python.
