Description

You will ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of Collibra's database systems by analyzing performance, automating tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This hybrid role is based in New York, requiring at least two days per week in the office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years experience as Database Performance Engineer or similar role.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Basic knowledge of GraphDB, Kubernetes, Linux.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Optimize database performance through monitoring, tuning, and query optimization.
• Conduct capacity planning and automate scaling of database resources.
• Diagnose and resolve complex database issues including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with developers and system administrators on database-related concerns.
• Implement automation for repetitive tasks and performance monitoring.
